When We See Us: Perspectives with Maureen Hoppers
Today, activist and inclusion advocate Maureen Hoppers walks us through the paintings that have resonated with her in the When We See Us exhibition at Liljevalchs. Here, she reflects on the depiction of twin spirits and Black bodies in intimate repose.
In this series of reels, Southnord has invited some of the role models in our Afro-Swedish community to share their thoughts about the works that resonate with them the most in the exhibition. These reels will be published throughout the course of the show until it closes on 30 August 2026.
