  • Cancelled: Dressed in Power with Georgètte Dwomoh-Appiah

    It is with great disappointment that Southnord and Liljevalchs have been forced to cancel Dressed In Power with Georgètte Dwomoh-Appiah. Despite extensive planning and preparation by all parties involved, the visa required for Georgètte to travel and take part in the event have not been granted by Migrationsverket in time for the scheduled programme to proceed.

  • Hugo Mugerwa Klockars is the winner of UPNEXT 2026

    We are excited to announce Hugo Mugerwa Klockars as the winner of this years UPNEXT 2026 Open Call. This is an opportunity for those between 18 and 28 years old to have a solo exhibition at the gallery, receive curatorial support and stipend for their work.

  • Transmissions: Road Tour + Block Parties

    12 August 2026

    As part of Southnord Artfest 2026, a travelling danfo bus is making its way north from Berlin, through Copenhagen and Stockholm, before it continues on to Helsinki. This bus forms a part of an installation by artist Emeka Ogboh for the Artfest’s headline exhibition The Other Side of the Mountain at Amos Rex.

    We are excited to announce that the next edition of Southnord Artfest lands in Helsinki in 2026. While the full programme is still under development, plans are already underway for a headline exhibition and a dynamic series of events in collaboration with one of the city’s leading art institutions.
