When We See Us: Perspectives with Hanna Wallensteen

Today, psychologist and psychotherapist Hanna Wallensteen walks us through the paintings that have spoken to her in the When We See Us exhibition at Liljevalchs. Here, she reflects on the contours of Black interiority and the relationships hidden therein.

In this series of reels, Southnord has invited some of the role models in our Afro-Swedish community to share their thoughts about the works that resonate with them the most in the When We See Us exhibition. These reels will be published throughout the course of the show until it closes on 30 August 2026.
