Reflective Walk

In this guided tour at Liljevalchs, produced in collaboration with Southnord, David Nzinga invites participants to an in-depth and personal journey through When We See Us. For one hour, he will use ten selected images as starting points for a conversation at the intersection of art, experience and identity.

Through his reflections, Nzinga opens up for reflections on vulnerability, love, heritage and the layers of stories that shape our lives. It is a tour that moves beyond the visual and into the emotional; an invitation to see, feel, experience and be in dialogue with the works and with each other.

Participants are welcome to converse, share thoughts and let themselves be moved by the paintings that resonate with them. Together, we'll create a space for listening, reflection and articulating shared perspectives.

David Nzinga is a versatile filmmaker, actor, screenwriter, producer and lecturer. He is often invited to panels and industry talks where he shares his experiences with storytelling, creativity and representation in film and culture. As founder of DNZ Pictures, he runs both Swedish and international projects.

In 2023, David made his mark as dramaturg for the opera Gustavia, one of the Royal Swedish Opera's most acclaimed modern productions and today considered a groundbreaking work for diversity in Swedish opera. He is also Southnord ambassador for the internationally acclaimed exhibition When We See Us at Liljevalchs.
