When We See Us: Perspectives with Andrea Pippins

Today, artist, graphic designer and author Andrea Pippins shares the paintings that have resonated with her in the When We See Us exhibition at Liljevalchs. Here, she’s remembering the aunties that would stop by her childhood home and reflecting on scenes that look like freedom.

In this series of reels, Southnord has invited some of the role models in our Afro-Swedish community to share their thoughts about the works that resonate with them the most in the When We See Us exhibition at Liljevalchs. These reels will be published throughout the course of the show until it closes on 30 August 2026.
